Finally, Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” Video Leads to Something Good

Look, you can bash Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” video all day long, but you can’t deny the positive impact it’s been having on our society. And, yes, I’m talking about the number of copycat females who have taken to paying homage to this pop art masterpiece by swinging naked on wrecking balls and wrecking ball-like structures.

People, this is a good thing.

Unfortunately, wherever there is slightly edgy fun to be had, The Man is usually quick to shut things down. Case in point: a giant pendulum sculpture which has long adorned the campus of Grand State Valley University in Michigan has been taken down because students were straddling it to re-enact Miley’s vid.

Of course, official word from the school blamed it on concerns for the sculpture’s “structural integrity.” But, thankfully, the students don’t seem willing to let it go without a fight. Some even willing to consider “extreme” measures:

Consider me an official supporter of this protest. And let me also suggest that women wishing to continue to emulate Miley’s video moves should also consider heading to their local Home Depot for a “sledgehammer lick-off.”

Just let me know well in advance, please. So I can set up my chair.
